The demo runs without spending anything. No card details, no sign-up, no catch. You're playing version 1.0.2, certified by GLI UK and approved by the UK Gambling Commission — exactly what you'd get with real money.

Everything works: all 40 paylines, the Free Spins bonus with premium symbols only, the gamble wheels, even the Spin Chance feature. The demo uses the same RNG as the real game, so the hit frequency and behaviour are identical, not a rigged preview.

No time limits or spin caps here. You can trigger the Free Spins bonus as many times as you want, test how the gamble feature adjusts with the +/- arrows, or just get a feel for the base game volatility. Balance resets if you run out.

If you're checking whether the Free Spins actually deliver (they use only 4 high-value symbols), or if the gamble feature's worth the risk, the demo shows you exactly how it plays. What you see here is what you get.

Most slots pile more features into their bonuses, but Gold Cash Free Spins goes the opposite direction—it strips everything away. Land three scatter symbols and you're suddenly playing with just four premium symbols: wilds and three tiers of gold bars. No card ranks, no filler, just the high-value stuff cycling through eight spins where every position actually matters.

It's Inspired's 2020 refinement of their original Gold Cash formula, and the approach is more surgical than flashy. The base game runs standard 5x4 with 40 lines and the full symbol set, but that free spins transformation is the entire point—a concentrated hit rather than the usual everything-plus-multipliers approach. Whether that stripped-back mechanic delivers enough to justify the 95% RTP is another question entirely, but the design philosophy here is at least clear about what it's trying to do.

How To Play

Gold Cash Free Spins uses Inspired's standard control layout, but you'll want to understand a couple of specific interaction methods before your first spin.

Setting Your Stake

Press the coin stack button on the right side of the screen to open the stake menu. You'll see 16 preset amounts ranging from £0.20 to £100—just tap your choice and the menu closes automatically. Your selected stake shows highlighted in purple. The game plays all 40 paylines on every spin, so your stake is your total bet.

Spinning the Reels

The large circular button on the right starts each spin. It's straightforward, but here's the trick: press once to spin, hold down to open autoplay. The button itself tells you this ("PRESS TO SPIN" / "HOLD FOR AUTOPLAY"), but it's easy to miss. If you accidentally trigger autoplay, just press the stop button that appears in the same position.

For autoplay, you'll configure the number of spins and optional loss limits. The game counts down automatically between spins. You can stop autoplay at any point by pressing that same button.

Keyboard users can press spacebar as an alternative to clicking the spin button.

Settings and Interface Options

The gear icon (bottom right) opens your settings menu where you'll find:

The Gamble Feature

After any win, you may see a "GAMBLE" button appear (if the feature's enabled in your settings). This is entirely optional. Press it to enter a double-or-nothing style wheel feature where you can gamble your winnings for either higher cash amounts or free spins. The wheels show green (win) and red (lose) segments, and you can adjust your gamble amount using +/- arrows.

There's a "COLLECT" button visible at all times during gamble—use it to take your winnings and return to the base game. You're never forced to gamble.

Spin Chance

If your balance drops below your current stake but you've still got some credit left, the game automatically offers "Spin Chance"—a proportional gamble to try for one more spin. You can accept ("PLAY") or decline ("NO THANKS") and keep your remaining balance.

Your balance, current win, and stake display continuously along the bottom bar, so you'll always know where you stand.

Symbols & Payouts

Gold Cash Free Spins plays on 40 fixed paylines across a 5x4 grid. Wins form left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel. You need at least three matching symbols on a payline to win.

Special Symbols

Wild Symbol

Wild Symbol

The Wild appears as a purple rectangular frame with gold borders, containing the word 'WILD' in large three-dimensional gold letters with sparkle effects. It appears only on reels 2, 3, and 4, both in the base game and during free spins. The Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Free Spins bonus symbol.

Free Spins Bonus Symbol

Free Spins Bonus Symbol

A circular gold coin with 'FS' in the centre and the word 'FREESPINS' around the edge, radiating golden light beams. This symbol appears only on reels 1, 3, and 5 during the base game.

Free Spins Bonus

Landing three Free Spins bonus symbols anywhere in view triggers the Free Spins feature. You're awarded 8 free spins immediately.

Here's the key difference: during free spins, the reels use only four symbols — Wild, Stack of Gold Bars in Purple Frame, Two Large Gold Bars, and a Pair of Medium Gold Bars (two smaller gold bars positioned at an angle). The card symbols and cash symbols don't appear at all during this feature, which significantly increases your chances of landing the higher-value combinations.

The medium gold bars symbol only appears during free spins and pays the same as the large gold bars: 5.00 for five, 1.00 for four, 0.50 for three.

Gamble Feature

Gamble Feature Wheels

The gamble feature can be configured in three ways: always on, only on wins of 5x stake or more, or off entirely. When active and you land a qualifying win, you're offered the chance to gamble it.

Two wheels appear. The left wheel offers cash gambles — you can increase your winnings by one third, double them, or triple them. The right wheel offers free spins instead of cash. Each wheel is divided into green (win) and red (lose) segments.

You can adjust the gamble value using +/- arrows, which changes the size of the winning and losing segments on the wheels. Higher gambles mean smaller green segments and larger red segments.

Press either wheel to spin the pointer. If it stops on green, you win the displayed amount or free spins. If it stops on red, you lose your winnings and return to the base game.

You can gamble up to a maximum of 250,000.00. Once reached, your winnings are automatically collected. The free spins wheel caps at 30 free spins — once you reach this, the free spins wheel disables but you can still gamble on the cash wheel.

Press the 'COLLECT' button at any time to take your winnings and exit. The expected payback for the gamble game is 100%.

Spin Chance

Spin Chance Meter

Spin Chance triggers automatically if your balance drops below your current stake but isn't zero. It offers you one last chance to wager your remaining credit for an additional spin at your current bet.

A meter appears with proportional red and green segments. Press 'PLAY' to spin the pointer — if it lands on green, you're awarded one spin which plays automatically. If it lands on red, you lose your remaining credit and exit to the base game.

The size of the green segment is proportional to your remaining credit versus your stake. More credit remaining means a larger green segment and better odds. Press 'NO THANKS' to exit with your remaining credit instead.
